Augmented Reality as a tool of teaching.

 In this post, i will be talking about Augmented Reality the technology we used, and our task with my partner Aslı Zeynep. You guys can get in her profile with the link i provided in previous posts. And the technology we used is UniteAR.

So what is Augmented Reality (AR)?  It is an experience mixed with computer-enhanced perceptual information and real-world environment. With AR you can bring your favorite animals and many other things such as monsters to your home! 

Our task is to introduce a problem about animals! The places they live in overrun by cities and when they get in the city they are forced to go back to the forests while some of the animals adapted to cities while some of them didn't. We wanted to think about living with them together.

Firstly i wasn't interested in this project but everything became interesting after a while. We were both happy and content with the topic we chose. There wasn't any challenge except doing it online. Doing something with a partner online is a pain. When the number increases pain gets multiplied by ten but teachers still force students to partner with each other. So here is our project.

We make students watch this video, then we give them this worksheet. In this worksheet, we are talking about the animals that are adapted to the city life before covid.

Then we continue with this video and with this one we can see the effects of covid and change of human behaviour towards city life.

And the last video is making us think about coexisting with animals in an urban world. Think about this one then make a poster about your ideas with pictures.
